Hi,

Have as many else, a clonking sound when hitting a bump. The sound is under driver side, and I can feel it in my feet.
I replaced sway bar links and lower ball joint last year, because of a front end clunk and it went away.
Now the sound is back and I thought it was the sway bar bushings so I replaced them, but the sound is still there.

So my thought was to remove the sway bar and drive to test if there still clunk, or will I damage something?

removing the swaybar is fine. several people remove them completely and never put them back on for better offroad articulation

if you realize there may be a bit mroe body roll with it off, then removing it is no issue

Did you replace the sway bar bushings in addition to the end links?

Thanks for your answer, I will try to remove it. Then I know if the sway bar end links

Can tie rod ends make sounds if they are bad/old. Because when I changed my lower ball joint the mechanic said they where worn-out.

yes, tres can make bad sounds, they should be replaced if they are bad, they will also prevent an alignment from being done accurately

Yes, I replaced the end links last year because I had a clunking sound, now the sound is back and a thought replacing the bushings would do the trick.

I´m swedish and I have some problem with the car terms in english. But I can post some picture on the parts that I changed.
