Removed broken fresh air door, question about air inlet

LOL! I've heard about those but thought that only happened at the GM factories!

I think it happens at all of the car manufacturers. I live not far from the Ford Stamping Plant in Woodlawn, NY and guess what sits right next door to the plant? A bar/Strip Joint! There is roughly a dozen or more gin joints within a 1/2 mile of this plant and there was even more back when the Bethlehem Steel plant down the road was still open and running. Booze and plants go hand-in-hand.

Wouldn't it be smarter just to tape off the area above the opening there? Then you could uncover it in the winter and retape it the next summer.

If you're talking about taping off that hole surrounded by red paint in the post above, that's just an access hole with a removeable cover. My cover is attached, and I still get fresh air in (or I should say I did get fresh air in, I found a different way to block off the fresh air door, easily done and removable, check another post I did).

Terrible way to put a band aid on it. That expanding foam looks really bad. Just do it the right way or repair/rig it under the dash.
