Removing the fuel filter from a 2002 Explorer

I'm trying to remove the fuel filter on a 2002 Explorer v6. I already removed the one line out with the quick release tool but on the filter with the 2 lines there are red locking tabs. I pryed out the red tab but I still can't get the line off. Does the red tab need to be completely removed so I can get the line off? How do I get these lines off with the red tabs?

I remember when I did mine many years ago... I found a thread here that was tremendously helpful. I don't remember enough details to help you now..

They are a pain, you have to flip the little "locks" off on the red things. Then you sorta force the inner part of the clip upward it will unlock the clips. I know bad explanation but look at the pics in teh thread above and it will maybe be clearer.
