Hey Guys,
I have seen how helpful everyone is on this site and figure someone can help me out with this problem. So here it goes.
I have found a problem I'm going to have soon if I don't do something about it.
My rear leaf springs have bad rust eating thru the bracket that holds up the back end of the leaf springs. What I would like to know is how do you release the tention on the leaf springs so I can take that bracket off and replace it safely? The rust is so bad that it has eaten a hole right thru the brackets on both sides.
While were at it does anyone know a good place to buy quality replacement parts for the leaf springs? I'm planning on replacing both end on the rear leaf springs. I would hate to loose my rear end on the road.
