Removing windshield??

Is it possable for me to remove the windshield from my 99 XLT without breaking it? I am parting out the truck, scrapping the body and do not want glass in with the metal (clean metal pays better) and, I do not like to destroy usefull items

it will take some time, but remove the trim around the a pillars. get some soapy water, and spray all around the windshield perimeter (on the inside). get a olfa knife (the ones with break away blades are the ones i always used), and start slicing at the urethane. keep spaying it edge of the windshield with the soapy water, it acts like lubricant, and make the blade slide easier. the corners at the bottom will be tricky to get at however.
