Anyone had any success repairing a torn spark plug boot? I ripped one in parallel to one of the ribs on the boot, from the tip back about 1-1/2". It goes back past the front of the clip. The tear is clean and straight: no material was lost. I plan to apply black rtv into the tear, with a thin layer around the entire boot to the depth of the tear or slightly beyond. Then I plan to heat shrink about 2" worth, from the tip back. Will it work? Thx, m

No. Don't even try. Either replace the bad wire or the entire set of wires. Auto Parts stores sell individual plug wires, but you'll need to bring your torn one in with you to get the right length with the correct ends. If your wires have 100k or more on them I'd recommend you replace the entire set.

replace it
5.0 wires are good for 90-100K replace with a good wire set not the cheapest one they sell....TRUST ME HERE
