I'm getting the James Duff 2.5" lift, a 3" body lift, and 32's. I know I have to get extended brake lines, but my question is, where abouts to I get them? and about how much do they cost? Are there any models of vehicles that have the correct length of brake lines where I could get 'em from a junk yard? Thanks...

James Duff lists stainless brake lines on their site... should be simple to just get them at the same time as the lift.

go with NEW braided stainless lines. there are many vendors that offer them, or a local shop may be able to fabricate some.

Great, thanks for your help Fixer.

Just from experience, I would stay away from the steel braided lines and go with the Superlift lines. I broke a braided line and had to go down "Heart Attack Hill" with a patch brake line. When I got home I replaced them with the Superlift lines and haven't had any problems.

hmmm, i wasn't there, but if you overextended the suspension and tore the line, that would probably happen with either braided stainless, or rubber lines, but the braided lines will be firmer than rubber.

here is one shop that offers custom hydraulic lines-

www.classictube.com

not sure exactly what they offer, or what there prces are.

SuperLift extended lines

It should be noted that the SuperLift extended brake lines ARE braided as well... I've had them on for three years without issue.

How much do the superlift lines cost, and how long do I need to get them?

SuperLift lines

I think they were in the neighborhood of $70 for the front two lines... I've got a 2.5" lift and went with the 4" lines. Plenty of room, but I don't have (or want) a body lift. They do make 5.5" lines as well. There's a few 4x4 shops up in Boulder that can help you if you don't want to do mail order. A quick jaunt down to 4 Wheel Parts & Wholesalers in Commerce City would prove fruitfull as well...
