replacing my stock air compressor

i have an air compressor stock for my air ride system. i was wondering about replacing it, and whether or not i could get a bigger/better one that would work faster and more efficiently. i've had someone tell me that you can actually make the compressor i have work to fill my tires somehow, but i'm not sure how reliable this source is. really, i just think my compressor will probably crap out soon, and i was thinking ahead on what i will need to replace it. thanks a lot, todd.

I have extra Mark VII pumps, but I don't think they're best for doing tires. I will probably look to JC Whitney for air pumps/tank. They sell automatic regulators to maintain the tanks. Good luck,
