Hey Guys, 1st, thanks for the help here...lots of good info. Got an 01 Explorer 4.0 sohc 4wd Sport. Getting ready to replace front pinion seal for a pretty good leak and also got a slow leak on the front passenger axle tube. Did this on my 01 Silverado...front axle end seal 2x because Carquest sells crappy parts anymore. Leaked a month later and had to replace it again with a chevy seal, and haven't had any issues since. Should I get a ford seal or which brand should I get? Gotta replace upper and lower ball joints on both sides so figure to make it a weekend project and do the pinion seal and tube seal. Any tricks to pulling the axles on these? Do they have c-clips or are they held in place by the outer axle nut and the 3 bolts on the lower A-arm? The Silverado had a solenoid I had to pull off before axle would come out. Thanks, Jamie
