Retrieving factory code for keyless entry

A few months ago I purchased a used 2014 Explorer Limited. I received the owners manual; however the card containing the factory code for the keyless entry was not included. I tried the procedure described in the manual of using the two pre-programmed keys inserted within the accessory slot to retrieve the factory code but had no success. I purchased the vehicle form a Chrysler/Jeep dealership and was told they do not have the proper equipment to pull the code. I called Ford Customer Service and provided the VIN and was informed they cannot provide the factory code. Anyone have any ideas on how to retrieve this code other than going to a Ford Dealership? Appreciate the help.

Welcome. Do a search here on the forum. IIRC the module might be above the glove box behind the air bag.
