return from a road trip

Just back from a week long camping trip to Cornwall, the EX was fully loaded again as you can see from the pictures with the camper chocked with gear, the roof box full and the back to the roof (oh and 3 kids and the wife )

we did a quick 900 miles including a few 25% hills. The additional trans cooler kept the temperature below 60 degC even in uphill traffic.

The rear suspension rebuild worked well, with the compressor running once when I loaded her up and attached the trailer

So all ready for the summer tour in France!

this last week the EX developed a slight rattle on the front suspension so I investigated it this afternoon.

Turned out to be a worn top ball joint. Pi**ed me off for a bit as I did a nut and bolt rebuild of the front drive train 18 months ago, then I realised I had covered 65k miles in that time.

The only reason the joint had failed was due to the boot failing and me not noticing
