Return from Big Bear rain, wind, mud, rock, and yes even some snow run!

Either day is fine with me...the more I think about it the better the pinnacles area sounds. If you can make it up the pass then we could start at the bottom of hwy 173 (single lane dirt road) so traffic up & down the mountain wouldn't be bad.

...you got a map??? thats right by cleghorn correct..??

...sam, bring the 4x4...it looks like tomorrow maybe...

i'll see if i can borrow there expedtion i will find out tonight cause right now they are at work right now

Close, from the 15 you take hwy 138 E to hwy 173 (just below Silverwood) and follow it to the bottom of the mtn.

So pinnacles, or BB?
Fri then?
Should I just start a new thread?

...boomer, either of those sound cool as they are enforcing the chain requirements for 4x4's and i can't afford them for the 35's...:D

...that sounds like right near 2n17x...

If i can borrow there expedition that means I have to go drive 8 hours to pick it up cause i am in southern cali in newport beach and they are in northern california in san jose.

But I'll ask like my neighbor if a can borrow one of his trucks he got 2 4x4s. 1 of them is an 06 Nissan Titan SE and the other is 03 Dodge Durango R/T

...sam, which ever one you borrow just be sure to let them know it may look a little different when it gets home and be prepared to do a lot of cleaning...;)

I'd go for the Titan .

Not far. If you just keep driving past the turn off to the damn, that road dumps you right onto the 173.

thats what i was thinking to bring the titan cause i know has the 5.6 liter V-8 and i think it has 345 hp in it and plus he did some mods to it as well.

...i'm having flashbacks of gil's truck after the cleghorn run for some reason...:D

Ritsui, are you gonna go???
Not sure yet. The storm is expected to continue through the weekend and get even heavier, so we may potentially have some very thick snow and ice back there: possibly several times what we drove through last time in Big Bear. I enjoy the snow, but when it gets over a foot deep it can be a pain in the ass just to keep moving... with or without chains.

...i say it's HI time you let khiori back behind the wheel of her explorer...:p:

...it looks like we might play it by ear and if the roads are open take the trail to bb...:D

Just to let you know, the Titan has 305 HP
