No filters. I burned the sky a bit so the highlights wouldn't be so blown out.

Great Trip

What a blast! It was good to see some familiar faces and also meet some new ones. Also, you guys have some sweet rigs!

This was a quick trip for me and my family. It was good to bring the wife and kids along, but always stressful when worrying about the kids...trying to keep them fed, drinks in the bottles, dvd's in the player, batteries in the leapsters, keep them from fighting...makes the obstacles even harder! They were troopers though.

We did 7 Mile Rim on Friday, Paul was a good trail leader and we made quick work of the trail. A few of us did wipe out hill...does anyone have that video?

Saturday took a quick trip out to Rose Garden Hill. That trail is short and to the point. The quarter mile climb is worth it though.

Sunday was the highlight when we took 7 rigs through Pritchett Canyon. Only took us like 11 hours? Clint did a great job of guiding us through safely! Rocker Knocker was insane! I promise guys, I'll bring my own winch next year...big thanks for all who gave me a yank.:) Only damage I could find was I slightly bent my tire carrier and pushed it into my liftgate a little, and busted a rock light. We got off the trail about 8 I think, made it home to SLC by 1 AM, and drove the BII to work this morning.

Only got a few pics on my phone, here they are:

Just made it home, wow what a trip! Had an amazing time, it was great wheeling and hanging out with everyone. We did Cliffhanger X 2, Hells Revenge with Elevator action, Steelbender, Pritchett, and even some Potato salad this year. What a freaking awesome time. Got some great pics and video, I'll figure out a way to get it up after some sleep.

Ah okay.

Just to make sure, I was talking about the image below - which initially caught my attention because the red in the midground canyon is just so vibrant (maybe its just because I've never been to Moab ).

Josh -

Pretty sure Phil got video of you on Wipe Out Hill, he should be home sometime this afternoon, hopefully he'll post the links soon.

There was fresh snow in Boise Sunday afternoon - - just a trace and the roads were dry, but still weird a week from June...

The lighting was terrific due to the broken clouds. Usually it's a clear blue sky which washes out the color. The Nikon lens helps with contrast and color saturation too.

The trip back home was interesting for a little ways
Got home at 3AM, I drove it all the way stopping only for fuel
I will get pictures and video up later

The hillbillies are back home now... we made it back in about noon central time.

Holy crap this was an awesome trip. Amazing group of folks to wheel with. They wont even let you work on your own rig. My major break was a split heater hose in the Branding Iron parking lot. :p:

"Pritchet Canyon, been there- got the T shirt" and that's all i gotta say about that. :D Major props to hvac man and the grocery getter of doom for leading us through there.

My pics arent that great and its gonna take a while to go through them, however this one does stick out-

Great pics guys! I wish I coulda made it, and keep kicking myself for not making it happen, kinda a blessing I guess thoe cause I wouldnt have been home to sell my Jeep, so now I'm hardcore devoted to my new rig build which will be present next year!!

I'm jealous.

Is the rest of the Washington contingent back home safe and sound? Figured I would have seen something from them by now:dunno:

Been so long since I have used my mini DV camcorder that I no longer have the softwareto download the video.
If anyone has software for a JVC GR-DVL520U I would like to hear from you.

I just got a text from Kevin and they made it back safe

Yeah, we're home. I got here about 12:20 and Kevin would have been an hour or so later.

We made it to the Casino around midnite parted from Ken, this morning at around 7am.

I'm still downloading videos from the camera. I have a slow USB port and I have 2 - 8gig cards FULL to down load. Then I have to figure out what to do with them. I'm new to editing and posting videos so I'll have to ask for help from Ricky8587.

Kevin has the vids from the first 2-3 days on his laptop.

I also came home to an overgrown lawn. I was supposed to mow it BEFORE I left but got too antsy to go wheelin.

I'll be working on pics and vids for the next week or so. I probably have 6-7hrs to go through.

I am home and finally have a chance to sort through pics. We bailed out early on the prichett run due to a broken TJ and a long drive home:rolleyes:. We'll be back!!

Two unexpected situations slowed us down getting home...

1) I popped a brand new MTR in the side wall on the winch point coming down that first major obstacle on prichett. I wish those tires weren't discontinued!

2) I heard a consistant squeek after the first minor obstacle on prichett. I told Phil (bronco phil not the other one) that I had a driveshaft ujoint probably going out due to the noise. Then I forgot to check it! So on the side of I -70 we pulled the rear driveshaft so I could front wheel it into Grand junction. Then we picked up a Auto Zone special  joint and installed it in the parking lot of Qdoba while my wife and kid ate dinner.

We got home about 1am and my wife and I were up and at em for work early the next day!

Awesome trip. Ill post my favorites of my pics to follow...

Clint- any high res of your pics?

Lastly, big thanks to everyone. Really nice to meet all the guys I have pm'd over the years. Great to see Clint again and finally wheel with him. The Grand was unbelievable... but most of it's success was all driver! Thanks clint for showing us around!:salute:
