Thursday-

Thursday I ran Ophir Pass into Telluride and then took Last Dollar Road into Ridgway. These are 2 easier trails in the area.

Saturday

This was the day to run the famous Black Bear Pass into Telluride. We got to the trailhead behind 20+ Toyotas and a few other vehicles went by while we were airing down.

We got to the pass and stopped to look at the view. Once we started going down a Cherokee lost its trackbar in the middle of the road but he was able to pull off after giving it a temporary fix. We made our way to the steps where we hit the traffic jam going down.

We all made our way down without incident and continued to the tight switchbacks after stopping for pictures at the bottom of the waterfall

We got to Telluride where we spent a little time before running Imogene Pass back to Ouray.

Monday -

On my way home Monday I ran the upper part of the Red Mountain Mining Area trail which starts across the road from the Blackbear trailhead. This is a very scenic drive with a few mine and building ruins.

Wow I wish I coulda been there. Let's see some more pics!

I cannot imagine the pucker factor level if that happened to me going down Black Bear LOL. What color was his driver's seat?

Nice!!! Brian it looks like you put together a hell of a run:salute:

How long did it take for this to clear out??

Imagine trying to go through that pack on a street motorcycle... That's what I had to do while on my way to school one day! They were hearding sheep down the road the community college was on. One guy on horseback with hundreds of sheep coming towards me! I stopped, and braced myself as the sheep proceeded to bounce off me and the bike, jumping over one another in the process... Quite the scene! The sheep in those photos don't look like they are in a hurry to go anywhere though:confused:

Lucky for him it happened in a fairly safe spot, long before the steps and switchbacks came up.

Thanks Rick, wish you could have made it. It took about 10 minutes. I took a little bit of video of the sheep going by, I will post that later.

Looks like you guys had a fun trip. Any idea why my brother had his hood up in the group shot?

Just letting everything cool down faster, we had just come up the steep switchbacks.

Wish we could have made it with you guys, too. We went with the FSJs in July again. It sure is beautiful out there and very hard to come home. I'm looking forward to more pics and stories.

I had an absolute blast out there. I left Sunday AM at 9:00 AM and got back to St.Louis at 2:00 A.M.

It was grat to meet a bunch of fellow members and cannot wait until the Moab 2010 run!

just got back in, I had a blast Ill post up some photos soon.

I thought so too ;)

I ran the upper half of the Red Mountain Mining Area on my way home this morning, it was a very scenic trail. I will put up a few of those pics sometime soon.

Well-it was great trip! Good to see everyone.
A whole week of offroading was great!!!
We drove until we got home at 4am this morning, fog was terrible from Kansas City all the way home, was terrible with truck weighted down and lights shining up and no fog lights, found a pace car and followed them.

I felt like I was on hells revenge and fins and things, leading the trail down hwy 70:D
It was actually was pretty scary in that fog, never seen it that bad before.

Made it home a couple hours ago (spent the day at my parents place in Colona). Had a great time this weekend and want to thank Brian for planning and organizing everything as well as the MO and KS crew (and the lone Georgian) for coming all the way out to join us. It was great meeting everyone and hope to wheel with you all again soon.

Pics are coming soon.
