Reveal molding removal

Ok, I am going to paint all the black pillar trim pieces on my X and was thinking about removing the reveal molding on the liftgate then paint the two C pillars the factor color which is Vermilion red. I will leave the B pillars black. What do you guys think?

Non-black hatch posts make me think of XL Explorers for some reason. I think a monotone Ex would be cool, but the black trim below the rear windows/hatch glass would need to be painted too, at least for my tastes... :)

I have decided the reveal molding will stay for now until I get some free time. It does not look like a difficult job but it would require some stripping and sanding not to mention filling of the rivet holes. I will also be removing the third brake light as I have a new WindJammer wing spoiler that I am installing LEDs into. I will weld over the third brake light to cover the hole.

the mouldings on the lift gate remove pretty easy.

how are the attached?

they snap on. squeese the little feet on the back side.
dont have to remove the trim pannel or nothing...
