Reverse vibration

hi, my dad has a 2008 explorer and when you backup y give you a vibration and feeling that the 4x4 is on, i'm trying to figure it out but no luck, has anyone experience this behavior on explorers?

It could be a bad U joint in the driveline. Where is the vibration the strongest? In the driver's seat, passengers seat, center console, in the rear?

Check your ebrake, if it's a rubbing/grinding noise.
