well, isn't that handy that you leave out the last line of your PM...

I can quote it if you'd like... but I really think if you're going to go putting quotes up of your pm's you should include the entire thing.

The fact that you left it out of this last post says alot about it.
I did not offer anyone a money back guarentee.
I've done my best to help those who have had problems, most have not said anything about their issues as I've helped them without fuss, but you sir approached it all wrong.

Cheers

Ben

Here is the last line
"However, I would have no problem posting this if i do not receive a refund."

This is getting rediculous. I am glad this can be viewed publicly by your potential customers. I dont understand why I should not get a refund. Cause I "appoarched it all wrong"? All I am asking for is my money back for obvious reasons. I am not asking for the money I lost on the install and the damage that was caused to my rear axel.

PEDER...

( NOT BEING MEAN OR A JERK )

bro, its common sense... you were adding something to your X... that was not meant to be there by factory specs, which means your taking a ( RISK ) of " breaking " your X, and that goes for any AFTER MARKET PARTS that we put onto on X's... also that goes to everyone...

and i dont think for one second that Ben should re-emburse you the money you paid... you took a risk, and unfortunatley it did not work in your favor...

also you must consider this... you said your ride qaulity changed etc... duh ! lol your messing with the suspenion + your higher off the ground... of course your goin to bounce around alot more...

and no one else has compalined about the other problems you listed... so maybe... MAYBE... the general up keep of your X may have something to do with your issues ????? idk...

and there are plenty of guys on here that have had good results as well as bad results, but you dont see people asking for there money back...

this post is not intended to be mean... just a general statement

BEN...

after this issue that has come about, i think everyone will agree...

a warning label and a buyer/seller agreement should be written to prevent this from happening again...

behind you 100% bro... keep up the great work... thanks for being a pioneer in EXPLORER OFFROAD !!!!!!!

GET SOME !!!!!

I guess i will chime in my 2 cents, but anyway I have been watching this develop from the beginning and I just want to say that Ben has been very helpful to every one. Also he stated that he did not know how good it was going to work because he could not install it on his due to his springs. Now IMO when he said that he was simply stating that it is a buy at your own risk. I completely understand the risk with this and I still plan on buying a set in the near future.

agreed, this should have been put up day #1

You are both correct, I apologize for assuming that my situation was known by everyone. Of course not everyone reads every post on here.
I've updated my lift threads initial post to read as follows:

Disclaimer: I am not a big company, just a guy trying to help out the hobby by making these spacers. I do not offer a warranty, nor a money back guarentee. I will help all I can if any issues arise, and if I send something that has a messed up bolt pattern or isn't straight, I will certainly replace it. Thank you for your support and I hope to continue to help lift 3rd gens everywhere.

I'll also be putting something similar on my web site just to make sure it's seen.

Thanks agian for the support guys.

Ben

well i understand where you guys are coming from. Unfortunately all i am going to get from RB is an apology. I am just angry because none of this was told to me before I bought my spacers and now he writes this and said I should of known. I actually think I asked you about your warranty RB and you responded differently but I have deleted that PM.

This should be the entire point. With all the information that exists on the subject of RoadBully spacers(between the sticky and personal posts), the situation with PEDER sure leans toward a difference in installation. So many spacers are being run in so many combinations with very little problem and nothing reported like PEDER is experiencing. Certified or not, there are mechanics that are just not that good.

Let's re-emphisize that RoadBully was doing something for the group. That is where our assumptions should start and stop. The risk is there. Some of us took that risk in the beginning in the attempt to see that risk and get around or over the hurdles if possible. Now tons of info is on this forum about the subject. PEDER should have made a mechanic understand that the spacers are being run without the problem that he was seeing and fix the install problem. Not go back to RoadBully trying to strong arm him with threat.

Ben, I trully hope that this does not squash your ambitious nature in seeing the 3rd Gen be all it can be and that it not be affected by the miss guided gripes of another.;)

Well put Mike and Caldwell. At the end of the day I feel that we are responsible for what we do to our trucks.

For example, I spent $300 on an Aussie locker for my 2nd Gen. It made the truck handle/corner like crap. I had to do the BWM to be able to drive it around town and it chewed the crap out of my tires. Off road- great, on road- sucked. I pulled it and sold it. Live and learn.

To operate your explorer safely after the lift you will need to get an alignment and a camber adjustment kit.

Maybe you didn't know this before hand, and maybe he didn't say it, but it's pretty mandatory for any brand of vehicle getting any brand of suspension lift put on, to require an alignment. If the lift adds more than say 2 inches, it's normal to need different camber bushings, etc.

Also, virtually all lifts for any vehicle will change the handling, and not in a good way, either. It's the price we pay.

Can I just add that we have here a Transaction Feedback issue mixed in with a Review. The TF should be between buyer and seller, w/o commentary (except from Mods). Peder25 should be able to express his experience without being hit from all sides... Ranger X, is this correct?

i have one of, if not the largest 3rd generation on this site...i will say this...there is strain on my ball joints but thats all i am experiecing...it drives the same as stock...its just 10 inches taller...i have had a front end alignment...i love what ben has done and i will be there to back him up...

peder and 86exploerer86...i suggest an alignment...i really think it will solve some of the problems...

i disagree with you, this is a forum. people come here to post their opinions. not to mention this is NOT the transaction feedback forum(where only buyers/sellers can post), and its NOT a for sale thread. EDIT: thats why his post was edited i see ha ha

Love hearing feedback. I think I acknowledged the fact that this is what the forum is all about. And I can agree that somethings should be left to the buyer and seller. Through PM. PEDER got made on the PM side and brought sarcasm to the forum. It's hard to pull a person's problem out of that so the forum can help. And I'm all for a Moderator asking PEDER "what can we help you with on your Ex?"

You aren't disagreeing... I stated there is a TF issue here that should be in the TF forum. The opinions are of course needed, but not the TF aspect. Everything else is part of the reason we are all here... You are correct.

As Donner previously mentioned, "The TF should be between buyer and seller, w/o commentary (except from Mods). Peder25 should be able to express his experience without being hit from all sides..."

...Carry on...:smoke:
