Just stumbeld upon this thought I'd let you all know. MAD 4WD is selling Rockcruser covers for dirt cheap. However they are on BO right now. How cheap you ask? $53 for a 8.8 cover

Wait wait wait! These covers are casted steel right?

They're molded from New Mexico red adobe (clay).

wtf wtf WTF!

I may or may not have had/am having some beer tonight.

Why did Dave delete his post?

He opts for Crane :D

IMO -- these are stronger than the casted pieces cauz cast metal typically cracks once stressed -- where as the welded type will just bend.

Woot -- I've been looking at this too. But bending a piece of steel 8 ways is too hard for me

Ruffstuffspecialties.com is where i bought mine from. they also sell this kit for 68 dollars, all you do is weld it inside and out. By the way the plate steel these covers are made out of is A50 plate (has a higher Tensile strength then regular plate steel)

that is the d44 version then d60 version kit is $79 and the 14b is $88.
