roof rack accessories?

ok.. i'm ditching my old roof rack and building a new one. i was thinking about making a spot to hold a jerry can up there along with the spare tire. is there any reason to not put a gas can up on the roof like that? it would probably not stay there all the time. just when i make a long trip or something. i know the spare will be heavy up there, especially when i go larger, but it won't get used often so that's ok. i have a little plan for that anyway.
just wondering what all types of stuff i may want to put up there. i don't plan on ever getting a custom rear bumper to hold stuff.. so it will all go up there or in the cargo area.
stuff i had in mind..
hi-lift mount
gas can holder
spare tire
lights -- up to 4 front and 2 rear facing
built in bike racks -- 1 on both sides

any other ideas that may be useful? i wanna draw up some plans and get started soon. thanks for any input!

I was thinking maybe a CB/HAM antenna mount? If you have/want one. Other than that your list seems like everything I would want on my roof rack.

Maybe a shovel/ax mount also, but I just throw my shovel into the back.

great for holding drinks or whatever, and a great cold shower at the end of the day
