ok guys, don't make it as heavy as mine was. it was so heavy it broke off, I now have no roof rack.

Ouu just ran across these over the weekend while sorting through the pics. The rack was made from a Home Depot cart that was being thrown away cauz it was too rusty.

this just gave me a great idea. At lunch today I drove behind a home depot and saw this big tall saircase thing that said "Do Not Use-broken"

That would make some good scrap metal.

here's mine it's a yakima rack that i got from someone on the forum.

The factory cross bars broke, with my roof rack and tire attached.

here's mine it's a yakima rack that i got from someone on the forum.

Any idea what the name of that rack is, or how I would find it online? I'm thinking about getting a Surco S4550 with a St100 Tire mount, but I definitely like the looks of this rack, that's for sure.
