well i finally got around to installing the yakima roof rack that i got from dman about a a month and a half ago. i had to get some new towers and landing pads for it bc the old ones were busted from him accidentally hitting the roof of his garage with the spare tire on the rack. this thing is pretty strong bc there is only a bent bar from where i'm guessing his spare was bolted at.

there are four lights on the front of the rack and two on the back. i redid all the wiring for the lights on the rack and now i just need to run wires inside the truck and get some switches and relays. i'm thinking about replacing the lights with either 100w bulbs or xenon bulbs. i already have xenon bulbs in the 7" lights on my bumper and i like those but i'm not sure which one i'll go with.

when i rewired the rack i used 12 gauge positive wire and 14 gauge negative wires. so i think that the wiring should be able to handle it if i decide to replace the lights with 100w.

i didn't have time to take any pics before it got dark out so i'll take some tomorrow and post them.

the first pics are of the rack when i first got it with some rust and the old wiring.

The yak rack is a good time and versatile. Make sure you get the net for it. You'll also notice a decrease in MPG I'm sure..I took mine off when gas hit $4.50...
