RPM at crusing speed?

Ive got a 94 with 3.27's (THat I HATE) and I figured with gear that high I would get good highway miles/ low rpm. Well at 60 I get like 2700 rpm and that seems rediculous. Considering I take the highway to work everynight, gas is killin me and it sucks. What rpms and gears do you all have? IS it hard to change gears becuase I would love to, thanks

I run about 2000 at 60 mph, I think that I have the same gear ratio as you... maybe you're not going into OverDrive?

Agree. If I were taching 2700 in OD, I'D be doing about 90mph.

94Jo, we're assuming you have auto trans.

Yeah, having a problem with my VSS at the moment, so no OD. When it was working it was very "weak" like it would easily slip in and out of OD.Ugh, just looks like I really need to get my VSS back on track
