I have a weird sound coming out of my 2003 Explorer. It sounds like moped motor making a "rrrrrrrrr" type of sound. I think it's a front driver side bearing because I hear it most when the weight load is on the driver's side. Also feel a slight vibrain in the steering wheel. Any ideas? It's pretty loud.

Jack up the front end and see if the wheel moves. If it does, stop driving until it's fixed or your wheel might decide to go a different direction than the Ex some day soon.

If the wheel doesn't move, it's still most likely a bearing, but this time you can still drive a while. Though it's still borrowed time.

Other than the bearing, which it most likely is, check out the half shafts for any obvious signs of issues.
