2000 Eddie Bauer
Hi everyone.

I recently bought a 2000 Explorer Eddie Bauer with a few minor annoyance problems. This forum has already helped me out with replacing the driver's door latch. I am in the process of changing fluids, tune-up, flushing things out, etc and found that someone replaced a couple of the push pins that are used to mount the rubber splash flap in the front wheel wells with, of all things, tie wraps!!! Of couse these ties have cut through the rubber.

I have searched on here, fordparts.com, various body part suppliers, etc and cannot locate a place to buy these things. Does anyone know where I can get a set?

I have looked into buying sheet rubber and cutting new ones using the originals as patterns. The price seems excessive given that I guess it would need to have a relatively high temp rating due to the proximity of the tubular exhaust manifolds.

Your best bet besides a junkyard is buying some in the "HELP!" section of your local auto parts place for the pins. They won't be in a kit, and you'll parobably have to buy several, unless you have a pick 'n pull junkyard near you where you can just grab some. You might try LMC truck?
