Running rich..pulled a couple codes

My X is running rich and getting very poor gas mileage. I pulled codes on it and got KOEO and stored codes 173 and 179, and KOER code 173.


173 (R,M)
Oxygen sensor not switching - system is or was rich - Single, Right or Rear HO2S - Fuel control

179 (M)
Fuel system was rich at part throttle Single, Right or Rear HO2S - Fuel control

So does this mean that the O2 sensor is bad or another problem?

If you agree with the O2 sensor code that the engine is running rich, it suggests to me that the O2 sensor is working fine (running rich with a lean code suggests a fault in the O2 sensor).

1st thing I'd probably do -- put a fuel pressure gauge on it and see what fuel delivery is doing. Also check the vacuum line to the FPR for fuel (fuel=bad FPR).

Yeah I havent had the chance to get a fuel pressure guage on it yet. I have taken off the vacuum line and there is no gas in it, but it could still be bad.
