Rust Issue

Anyone have rust develop on the right rear quarter of their Explorer? We have a spot that formed in front of the fuel door about 3" in diameter, not all the way through. It almost looks like bad paint prep, the paint came off. I'm having it fixed but they will have to paint the whole quarter to make it look right.

odd that its doing that on a '13 but i say take it to the dealer and have them sand it down and repaint it so it doesnt get worse.

I'm sorry, the Explorer with the rust issue is the 05' we have. It's rust free with the exception of that spot.

I assume you have not heard from anyone on this? I have an 04 XLT with the same issue. I worked on it last summer and found damp insulation against the panel. I thought I removed most of the damp stuff, guess not. It is all rusting from the inside out. I am going to tackle this project in the next couple days.
