Hi,
After reading the useful threads about changing the resistor of the blower motor on my 97 ranger I decided to fix the issue where the blower only runs on high.
The connector would not come out, I figured I would take the resistor out of the blower motor frame with the connector and then unplug the connector.
Well, the connector was not coming off easily so I used some elbow grease to separate it from the rusted resistor assembly. The connector was so rusted that all the pin broke and stayed in the resistor assembly. After checking it it appeared it had melted as well, before rusting.
Now I need a resistor assembly (ordered this afternoon) and a connector.
My question is, should I splice a used connector and wires or get a new harness with all the connectors?
