3 days ago i trade my 02 4.0 for a chevy avalanche.. the tranny was slipping on 3rd gear rear hubs are going, i just cant put anymore money to it and keep having the same problem over and over.... and yes i am really happy with my new truck

Sorry to hear you had to get rid of it.

Growing up I had always wanted to try an avalanche. You should post a pic of the new ride.

Loved the avalanche, had 2, an 2006 and a 2007. Just traded the 07 for my 2005 explorer 2 months ago and Really love.
My 07 avalanche had 2 issues that i couldnt deal with, at 42k miles it took a quart and a half of oil every 2500 miles and with its after market GPS DVD radio the battery would die every 3 days.
At at 109000 miles on the explorer doesnt use any oil and starts every time no matter how long is sits.

I too am on the verge with my 03 4.6 Expl. Seems like some thing new every other week. Thing is, my 95 4.0 Expl is much more reliable. Sad.

Should swap out those running boards with the tube style.
