Hello,
I bought an ELM 327 scan tool . The name brand is Foseal. It's a wi-fi enabled device that requires an app. I grabbed OBD Car Doctor (free) and their "Pro" version ($4) to expand capabilities. I'm looking for an app that shows trans temp. What app are you guys using?
Thanks,
John

forscan.org

give it a try its free but you have to email them for an extended license for PATS programming features.

its built for Ford Mercury Mazda etc.,.,

Its awesome.

Torque can show you trans temp too. most of them do.

Make sure your ELM is v1.5 and not 2.1 (I believe) Ford people are having lots of problems with ELM327 clones which are v2.1

Yeah mine is v 1.5
I'll check out Forscan.
Thanks,
John

Yeah I thought about doing that at first. But then this little gizmo seemed pretty cool. Plus it used the sensors already in place. So I'm in it now so hopefully the software works out.
Thanks
John

Success

Hey
Thanks everyone for the help. Got the scanner working with the Forscan app this morning and it is way cool. I wondered also how critical the temp range is for checking level? It's supposed to be checked between 80 and 120
Thanks again,
John
