One of my friends recently got a '97 F-150 and would like to do some mild offroading in it. Nothing cazy, mainly just playing around his grandpa's farm. He would like to know more but isn't as technically oriented as I am. But I don't know much about them. My crossover knowledge stops with the end of the TTB in '96.
Anyway, I know it's IFS, but not the TTB. Is it an SLA setup, torsion bars, what? I've tred searching the net some but it's hard to find specific info on 1997 models for some reason. Is there any way to get 1-2" of suspension lift out of one cheaply? In the front, I mean. The back I know is still basic leaf springs.
Any other things to look out for or be concerned about with a '97 F-150? It's got the 4.6 and an auto tranny. It's 4x4, but I don't know what case or system.
Thanks in advance!
