Search is Sloooooooooooow!

Is it just me, or is this happening for everyone? I noticed it the past 2 or 3 days, I click on the Search at the top and nothing happens, no drop down menu like normal, but the page starts loading. Several mins later I click it again and the drop down search feature appears, and then when I type something to search for and hit Enter, it goes again for another few mins. It's happening with all search features - Vendors, Community, My Posts, searching a specific forum...anything with a drop down arrow.

I'm on another forum with the same layout as this one, and the search over there isn't a problem, so I figured it was a problem with just Explorer Forum.

Which browser are you using? Did you delete your browser's temp files?

Firefox, been using it for years without ever having to do that, but I just tried it and it worked for a second, but now it's back to being slow. I'm actually noticing now that just going to a new page without trying to do any search like I previously explained, it is taking a couple of minutes for the page to load completely, but once it does the search works normally.

I was. I just tried switching to another one and nothing changed. The color only changes the way my profile looks though, right? My profile is purple now, but the rest of the site is still blue.

I'm using Elite Da Blues, and I don't see anything purple in your profile.

Oops, maybe I was on just Da Blues before, I don't remember. Anyway, now I'm on Elite Da Blues, the whole site looks like the normal blue I'm used to. Would the color really have anything to do with what I'm experiencing anyway?

it has been slow all day to me too, and i am using Da Blues,,

the cursor has a timer spinning next to it a lot today,

The Google search box at the top of every page is the best way to search the forum. It only searches our forum and uses Google search technology which is a whole lot better than the forum's built in SE. It's all I use.

Me too- I haven't used the drop-down search in 2 days longer than forever... I only use the google bar now. Way better searches.
