Section525 - D44 2nd gen. leaves SAS

Well since I have the axle in-hand finally... I guess I can start my thread.

I bought this axle about a month ago from a guy in OR and finally made it around to picking it up yesterday. I watched as he actually took the axle out from under the truck. It's pretty clean.

1983 Jeep Wagoneer LP D44

The plans:
Rubicon Express leaf springs (unless someone suggests otherwise)
4.88s
Detroit

Then SOA the rear, add a locker, and 5x4.5 to 6x5.5 adapters (I heard they make them). So far I am thinking about going 35/36s BFGs or IROKs.

So.... any suggestions?

It sucks not having your own garage
I know the feeling. :( It sucks when you don't have your own garage to do the SAS in, but it sucks worse when you've gotta do it all outside...in the coldest part of winter, at night.

Mine took me about 40 minutes. :D

Shut-Up Colin! You Cheated! You bought yours done already! :p

Ok Jefe but you brother lives close to you, and you stated preping with the SOA weeks before.

My dad he wants his garage back though, so I guess will have to hurry it up. I ordered the last of all my parts (except the shocks) this morning.

Section! Get her done!

I started preping months before, my Brother lives about 20 mins away, and I worked on it EVERY night till it was done, not just on the weekends I felt like working on it. :p

I like Phil's John Deere paint job too. he really needs to paint those wheels yellow! :D
