Section525's custom rear tube bumper...

Cool deal. I'll probably start the cage when this thing is done. It'll give me something to do while on my vacation. :D

Stic - do you still have the measurements for the bends or is that something Jefe left town with?

I don't personally don't have them...I'm not sure if my dad ever got them when we got Jefe's tube bender. I want to say no, because I'm sure if we did have them they would have been posted up already. Jefe did say they he would give them to us though. I can try E-mailing him, and maybe he can e-mail, or snail mail them to me. :dunno:

Your welcome to come down and measure mine though:p:

that bumper is sick

its so funny because this:

It's my spare 4r70w on the right. The one I have in the truck is the advance adapter'd one. The one on the ground is stock and I'll put in when I upgrade the tcase.

is exactly my plan for the BII... LOL

How thick of steel should the brackets be since I'm using the bumper for the winch fairlead? 1/4" enough?

1/4 in tension should be enough.

Ha. You guys are crazy! But also slightly right. I was planning on picking up the tube for my cage and to finish this bumper today. But I was side-tracked. But I think I'll actually have time to get it done tomorrow night/Sunday/Monday :p:

As I was looking at the pics of the bumper I remembered that I should note the 1.5" outside tubes are actually my old shock hoops. Recycle reduce reuse. :D

Ordered the clevis mounts from Polyperformance last Monday along with a 1" dimple die. Hopefully that junk gets here soon.

Lazy Sunday Fabbin'

Who ordered these awesome notches?! :p:

Lookin good as hell!

Are you painting it or powdercoating it or anything?

I think he'll just spray it with a clear coat;)

The problem with build this is that I dont like how you have a notcher .... and I'm left to use a chop saw :(

These brackets are the hardest part of the build! Getting this thing into place and trying to figure out height, width, x,y,z axis, square root, etc. is the suck. I could have used two more people.

Anyway.. here it is welded up with the brackets in place. I only have one bolt in each side so its not quite in fine-tune adjustment. But you get the idea. Side mounts are coming up next.

Dude? You want the rear door or not? I'm cutting it up soon. I'll hold on to it till you can make it down this way or I'm headed that way. Or someone else is.

Keep it for me for a minute. Saw a guy on PBB is going from here to AZ and back with room in the bed of a truck in early May. I'm gonna see what he'd charge.

you got it;) It should just charge you a case of beer:rolleyes: I'm right off the 210 (on his route) so I can pretty much meet up with him at any time he's heading through here.
