I haven't seen a thread on this yet... is anyone from here planning on going to the SEMA show this year? I know a large group from fordtruckworld.com are going to be going and meeting up somewhere, maybe some explorer guys will feel like going as well?

it is November 4th-8th, in Las Vegas. I will possibly be showing up in Vegas on Wednesday, going ot the show thursday and friday, then spending a day or two there with my girlfriend (she may fly in on Friday night to spend some time in Vegas but can't take time off work for the show)

I'm going with my school, Northwood University, Be there tuesday-friday. The rest of the gang will be there Sun-thurs. I'm goin hunting in colorado the sat-mon before. Cant beat that

well if you see a 6' 8" white guy with a goatee wearing either an explorer4x4.com or f150world.com t-shirt, just wave, or flip me off, or something, LOL.

Of course I'm going:D I started a thread months ago trying to get some folks from the board to sign up.

I'll be there Tue-Thursday night. I'll probably leave Friday morning since most of the exhibitors start breaking their stuff down on Friday.

We are staying at Harrah's right on the main strip.

We casino hop after the show. playing a bit here and there while sampling beverages and muchies along the way:D

my first thought........Wow, matt is renting back "Vegas" for the weekend. Had to read it a couple of times to understand what you meant.:D

LOL no, ok hows this for complicated "I'm showing up to Las Vegas in Reno" LOL.
Rick, not sure where I'm staying at yet. Hopefully something relatively cheap, I thought hotels would cheaper this year but apparently not...

Just checked... the early registration fee of $10 is over as of Sep. 27. Not sure what the new fee is.

I think it is $30 or $40 now. Damnit! But I have to call the hotline to get my tickets (The magazine just e-mailed me the info today). If I come up for one night, can I sleep on someones floor? I doubt there will be hotel rooms available that week.

--Sean :D

guys... on the website it says registration must be received by the 27th, but Ir eceived an email and just verified when I went to register that it has been extended until this Friday.

Awesome, thats great to know. I am going to call them today or tommorrow for my tickets. Just gotta find a place to spend the night.

I have a room booked at Excalibur. For those that have never been to Vegas, it's at the south end of the strip, right across the street from new york new york. It's where I stayed last year (mainly because its cheaper then most other hotels in the area! LOL). What I did last year for the SEMA show was I would walk over to New York New York and catch the shuttle over to the convention center. Then at the end of the day I'd catch the shuttle back! That way no messing with parking, or traffic, ro any of that...
I may have a bed available in my room if someone would like to split the cost, assuming my girlfriend decides not to go which its looking like she probably won't do...

Matt we should make plans to have dinner at one of the hotels. Maybe Wednesday night?

Rick, not sure when I'll be arriving Wednesday but that oughtta work just fine. I know we're also planning a big dinner thing for the f-150 folks that will be out there (ford truck world is going to have a booth set up for its magazine and there will be about 15-20 members there) which everyone from here is invited to as well (hey we all have ford trucks in some form or another! :))

Dang, I should have planned my Phoenix trip a little earlier. I could have gone and possibly hicthed a ride with Rick and Char and went to the show.

My wife, kids and I are going to Phoenix (Goodyear) to visit her parents and to go to the NASCAR race the weekend of Nov. 8th and fly out the 16th. We could have come down the previous weekend. Oh well. If we do that race again I will plan better.

Rick, I might have to look you up again so I can see your Explorer in person again. Last time I saw it it was green and not as large. I think it was 2 or 3 years ago. Let me know what you think of that.

Well I just got my SEMA passes this weekend. If anyone has room, I'll be there from Tuesday morning to Wednesday night. I'd like to maybe meet up with you guys on Wednesday for dinner.

slight change to my schedule. instead of arriving late Wednesday and leaving Saturday morning, I'll be arriving late Tuesday, and leaving Friday morning. Figured it just made sense since I'm going there alone and hanging out in Las Vegas when your alone isn't nearly as fun as with someone else! LOL. Plus Friday like Rick mentioned the booths close down fairly early, and the extra $130 the hotel was going ot cost me wasn't really worth it... so I will be at the show on Wednesday!
Desertspive, I am waiting back to hear from someone else on whether he wants to share a room with me. But if you need a place to stay, I'm staying at the excalibur and shoudl have a spare bed on tuesday night.
