Ok Phx...Next Sun. Keep me posted.Robert...Sounds like a good close trail to try. I agree...lets wait untill it gets a little cooler! Hey Steven does this sound like a plan when it gets cooler?

Sounds great to me. Just let me know. Ill probably pick up a permit here soon just to be legal. Hey, they are free. Hopefully Fire and Brimstone will come through before then and Ill have a good set of tires and my wife comes through and Ill have the Warrior shackles too!!!

MyExploder, thanks for the offer. I've decided not to replace the radius arm. Reason? When I looked under my truck I noticed that with the new bushings and crossmembers installed, the driver's side tire was back where it needed to be. So I guess the radius arm wasn't bent after all!!!

Great! Looks like we don't have to try and figure out what to do....

Just think, if I would have let Midas do the work, I would be out about $250 in labor + parts and I'm sure they would have told me they have to replace the radius arm also. Just a lesson to me and to anybody else who might look at this thread, try and do the repairs yourself because 1. You know it will be done right 2. You certainly won't be installing unnecassary parts and 3. You don't have to charge yourself $50 or more per hour. I figure I saved myself about $300+ by doing it myself even after buying miscellaneous tools and jackstands. However it did help that my rivets on the crossmembers were already grinded out and replaced with bolts!!

I hear you there! I'm all for doing stuff myself when possible. I think that the best things are that you don't get ripped off for big $$ and that the work is QUALITY! Its much better to be able to blame yourself than someone else for messing up your Explorer! Good Luck!

It is also much nicer when you know that something didn't go quite right rather than have the dealer cover it up hoping you won't find out until well after the fact. That is one reason I won't use Earnhardt Ford anymore after they busted the top of a mounting bolt off and used 5-minute epoxy to glue it back on. I found out a few days after I got it back and drove straight back to them to watch them wiggle there way out of it.
