I'm replacing the Automatic Transmission in my 02 Explorer 4.6L X. When I separated the automatic transmission from the transfer case there was ATF between the two cases. Is this normal? Also, the seal on the transfer case input shaft doesn't look so good. In the Haynes manual it says that you have to disassemble the entire transfer case in order to replace the seal. Is that true.
