Hi Guys,

I've just joined this forum and my first issue is to replace the poly-V belt on my explorer with a shorter one to bypass the air-con compressor due to the noise it is making. Could someone please advise the length of belt I need to do this? (Outside circumference or effective length will do)
I live in the UK and it is almost impossible to get any technical advice on Ford Explorers here, even Ford UK could not advise the length of belt I need!!

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks
Giles

I pulled this off Rockauto.com.

MOTORCRAFT JK6814J {#XL2E8620CA, XL2Z8620CA} Info

Also if you want the option of going back to it and keeping the same length they sell a AC compressor replacement pulley that mounts in it's place and is just a stationary pulley to take it's place. Generally can be found on eBay or amautoparts.com and I'm sure there are a bunch of other places as well.
