The serpentine belt slipped off my '01 4.0 4wd sohc Explorer after going through a big puddle on a farm lane. The auto tensioner seems really strong, but seems as though the tensioning is backwards?! If I move it downward, it seems to tighten the belt, not loosen it. Any help appreciated! Fairly certain I have the belt correctly routed...
