SES Code P1400

Check Engine Light... HELP!

I just came down the Sierra Nevada mountains (from Tahoe to Sacramento) and when I got home, the SES light came on. That was yesterday. Today, I had AutoZone "show me how to" check the code. It came back as P1400. Can someone shed some light on what this one means? I am going to LA this weekend (driving 400 miles each way), so is this something that is crucial or can it wait til I return? Thanks in advance for the responses!

Thanks for the info... haha but it might as well be written in German! I'm not sure what any of that is. Can anyone let me know if my Ex will be OK for the trip to LA and back before I get this checked out?

Most likely your DPFE sensor has gone bad. This is an EGR Pressure Sensor sitting near the EGR valve on your truck. It is an item that is being replaced by the dealer with some restrictions. I can't remember what they were, but mine was replaced out of warranty as part of their Customer Satisfaction Program Code 02M01.
