shackle bolt size?

i found for sale some universal lift shackles at Jeg's, but i need to know ( i have searched but have come up with conflicting answers), are the holes 1/2" or 7/16? there are no local stores that carry this (well, one can order it at the cost of 50$ CAD) but if its less with shipping by internet i'll go that route. anybody know the answer please let me know, i intend to buy soon! thanks

take the shackle to eitehr home epot or lowes or Ace as they all carry grade 8 bolts...

i dont have it in hand yet, i'm just wondering which kit to order, 7/16 holes or 1/2" holes

edit: i just measured the bolts and they are in fact 9/16, so the universal mr gasket kit wont fit unless i redrill the holes. maybe i'll get a metal basher to make some for me...
