Just wondering how tight most of you torque the bolts that go through the leaf spring to shackle and shackle to frame. I recently installed new bushings for the leaf springs and frame. At first I just cranked em' down and didn't use a torque wrench. Then I was noticing a very rough ride, especially in the rear. I backed off on the bolts and had to adjust the bushings slightly, and when I torqued the bolts back down, I did 45 ft lbs for the leaf spring to shackle bolt, and 50 ft lbs for the shackle to frame, and then 50 for the spring eye to frame in the front of the leaf spring. It definitely seemed to help the rear end have better flex and not be so stiff and rough. Smoothed out the ride noticeably. Maybe this will help some trying to figure out why they have a rough ride.
