When under full throttle and shifting from 1st to 2nd, the motor revs to about 5000, then acts like it hit a governor. The motor pulses for about one second before shifting. Is the shift point off? How do I adjust?

I would try letting off the pedal at about 4200 just a bit. then slam it down again. and see if it still pauses. The shift points are computer controled i heard, can someone confirm?

the shift points are computer controlled.... my truck will smak the rev limiter at 5200 and when going wot, it will shift at 4800........edit: it is not adjustable----- unless of course, you decide to add an aftermarket performance chip......

Is this with the BBK kit fully installed?

I'd say you need to up your fuel pressure a tiny bit, and get a new fuel pump if you haven't already. Sounds like either you're running out of fuel flow or the BBK computer isn't set up properly.

But those are just a few possibilities.
