Should I soak my od & intermidate bands in fluid?

Is it necessary to let the new bands soak in fluid ?

A lot of people say to always do that for 30 minutes, so I would.

I would. They're gonna be soaked with oil while in the transmission, so it shouldn't hurt anything to soak them before installation and I would think it would help at the first engagement.

Always soak wet clutches, like bands and fiber disc like in an 8.8 or in the tranny.

Yeah just read atsg manual. It was frustrating at first then it got easier just triple check everything it wasn't that bad

I got a rebuilt kit from transtar, it was like 160 or 170 comes with everything besides the bands ,you can gets bands with them tho
