Where did you get that brush guard?

2" lift (shackles/coil seats), 16" Sport Trac wheels (with 1.5" spacers), 265/75R16 tires.

No adverse handling characteristics and in my opinion this is how they should have looked from new. Sized like a proper SUV now.

Kazer, I'm not sure on the lift type but I'd be trying to buy that rig and put it out on the trails. Already setup nicely. JMO. Damn.

Where did you get that brush guard?

Junkyard special, $30. Had a friend powdercoat it. Sorry I don't know who makes it. In my opinion it is not of the best quality, obviously made in Mexico, just for looks and not a lot of real protection.

Spotted this one at the junkyard. Anyone seen the front lift before? (Ignore the time stamp)

I'd be trying to buy that one too! Nice lookin ride!

Hey guys, this thread is in the "Before and After" forum and is for showing off your lifted first gen Explorer with photos of it ("before" if available, and after/current photo); along with resulting comments and questions from others about your lifted first gen.... if your photo does not satisfy that criteria, please post it in another thread in another forum. Thanks!

Explorin'VA those tow pics are they close to where each was taken? if so was it on purpose or coincidence?

Just wanted to thank Explorer Forum admin for making this thread "Sticky" I created this thread back in 2005 when I was getting into Ford Explorer's. Met some great folks and learned a ton of info. Big thanks to "Froader" for being a good friend and supporter. Keep this thread alive folks. I am looking to pick up another 1st gen this summer and dropping in a 351, SOA swap, Linked, Geared and Locked. Time to get back into the Explorer lifestyle. ;)
