Sirius And Pioneer DEH-P4000 AUX Volume?

I just noticed that my Pioneer DEH-P4000 has AUX function, so I plug my starmate in to it and it works but... I cannot turn the volume up. Well I can but the AUX does not turn up, even when AUX is selected. It also plays on every function. Like CD, I hear both CD and AUX, and FM,
Any ideas of what I need to turn on or off?

You have to have the AUX adaptor. The RCA connectors on the back are not for imput. They are rear or front channel output. If you have a blue plug on the back of your head unit, this is what you need:

okay yeah I got that blue plug. Were can I get somthing that will fit and go in to my starmate?
I have never seen a plug like that.
so I need a AUX adaptor?

Yes, you need an AUX adaptor like that one in the link, then connect accessories to that. Then when you put your CD player on AUX, you can control volume.
