The connection guide for my surius tuner showed a connection for the positive wire to the positive battery terminal. I took this too mean that I should use the constant 12 volt line. I dont want to chance draining the battery, so I was wondering if it would be OK to connect it to the switched 12 vold line. Im not sure if it requires constant power for settings or something.

Thanks

Requiring it to be run to the battery indicates it needs constant power. Don't forget a fuse!

there is NO 12v going to my Sirius ( Kenwood ) tuner.
The power comes from a multi-cable, linked from the Kenwood changer.

I dont know if your is simular or not

The first generation tuners had to be supplied 12v power. The newer ones don't.... they get it through the cable.
