Hi all , about three weeks ago I was on the highway on cruise control and pull into BK when I saw a puff of smoke coming from between the steering column and the wheel , on the same day going home I turn on the Cruise control and I smell like something burning , so I turn off the cruise control and haven't use it since and no smell , anyone knows what it could be ? Thanks in advance :)

From a previous thread:

"This is fairly common, it is basically the contact switch in your turn signal. They use contact grease that over time dries out and causes the contact to not make a proper connection. The easiest solution is to get a replacement turn signal assembly and swap the whole thing in."

"same thing happened to me. Replaced the multifunction switch and everythings fine."

Thank you Blacokout2010 , I was worry that it would catch on fire :)

Thank you swshawaii :)

I didn't have this problem but I had non working turn signals. Pulled the MFS apart, cleaned it all up and all is fine now. Didn't spend a dime.
