not in Fug's world:D I have to give him a little bit, prob 1/2 what he paid

I finally put my truck back together. I'll be cranking it up at about 6:30 tonight. Hopefully the tranny will work and the exhaust won't leak!

Knowing my luck the dry start from sitting over a month will destroy the timing chain guides. Let's hope not! (knocking on wood)

huh? what? whatd you do now?

I had the exhaust apart to try to fix the leak. Since it was off, I tried to fix the whine from the tranny, which involved removing the valve body. I also had the rear brakes apart to fix the parking brakes.

The brakes are fixed.

The tranny whine was significantly quitened, not eliminated, but good enough.

The exhaust leak was quietened, but still far from fixed. Not sure what to do about it now.

Damn, John! And I thought Muskrat was bad at breaking stuff, lol

What were you driving for a whole month??

Over a month. I'm a busy person. Or maybe it was lazy person. It's one or the other.... :)

The exhaust is still leaking where the pipe connects to the manifold on the passenger side.

I've been driving my Daytona (1 YEKNOM) all this time.

Did you try welding it? Not sure if that's feasable, but it might work if done correctly..

any one thats good with a mig could bead that up real nice..... and itll be fine.... bring it over to me :D

hmmm, yeah I had the same problem, in the same place, on the same side of the truck, sorry to say but the only fix for that is a new pipe, welding it aint a good idea as that is a flex point for the exhaust, thats what I was told by a good friend of mine that works for ford.

when I straighten my steering wheel, the driver side wheel is straight, but the passenger side (the one with all the damage) points a bit right. time to play with the tie rods now too. I win

Think thats got anything to do with slamming your wheel into that rock Dead Link Removed

not me:D

well i put the 4dr leaf springs in today and remounted the shocks and i got alot more flex. I mounted my shocks to the old sway bar mount. it makes a big difference. now the only thing holding me back is the brake line. I also got some pics up of matt down in the pines, englishtown and pics of my new springs.
