Will a 93 ranger spring over rear axle swap into a 94 explorer with spring under axle? Are the perches the same width as the stock axle?

The Ranger has a 7.5" rear axle unless its a 4.0L. Even then its only a 28 spline while your Explorer's is 31 spline. So you'd be downgrading axles no matter what. The perches are slightly wider on the Ranger as anyway.

There is a thread up here to do a SOA on a explorer. I think it is a sticky. The guy said 32 for all but prices have gone up so maybe now like 70 or 90 tops.

Spring perches are cheap, then do the spring over yourself... having the perches welded on is about the only hard part. New spring bolts are needed as well. (They need to be flipped too)
