Anybody have cold start problems with the SOHC engine? Mine does and the warranty is abotu to end so I would like to know what to do. Some cold days it just won't turn over no matter how long I try. If i come back thirty minutes later, it sometimes starts up. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

i know i've seen things like grille screens that you can put in your grille to help your car start faster in cold weather. there are all sorts of things you can buy to improve this. i dont think the sohc is any different than the ohv in terms of starting

I don't think it is the battery. It has been doing this forever. Any ideas? Fuel pump maybe or a crack in the manifold? THanks

Also, I used to have a 1994 Eddie Bauer with the OHV engine, and a 1996 XLT with the OHV engine. Neither of them had this problem. Thanks again.
